Loving the Season!!

Lately I have been so happy when I get ready in the morning because I get to wear all of my most favorite clothes. I am such a fall and winter person. I have noticed that the older I get the more excited I get for October to come around. As soon as the weather starts to get slightly chilly I am wearing sweaters and scarfs and hanging up the decorations for fall. This is my favorite time of year. Everything starts to change colors and it get dark earlier. I also love the cold. My favorite part about fall though is Halloween, and of course thanksgiving. Pumpkin patches and carving, corn mazes and lots of yummy food. I also love that it is the beginning of the holidays, where you get to spend time with your family making amazing memories. I have decked out my entire apartment in all types of Halloween and fall décor and will keep up the decorations, with slight changes, throughout the holidays. I blame this on my creative teacher side, always having to decorate for anything and everything. Now I just cannot wait for these nice cool days to stick and for it to be winter time in Texas.

    I love this time of year to; especially since my birthday is December 20 which is right before my favorite holiday. I love winter and fall clothing. My entire apartment is filled with halloween and fall decorations right now.

    Yes girl!! I am the same way!!! This is definitely the best season! I love when it starts to get a little chilly out side and all of the holidays start rollin in one by one!

Learning Experience

Sometimes the most exciting things in life can also be the most frustrating. Recently I bought a car. I had so much fun searching and trying to find a car that will fit me. I finally found the perfect car and so I pulled all of my money together and got it for myself. It isn't much but it's 100% mine and I was so proud of myself for being an adult and buying myself a car. Pretty soon I realized that the sunroof was falling into the car in one corner. I immediately got upset. Of course this would happen to me! I called every mechanic I knew and, of course, no one could fix it. "I Got This Feeling"

I cannot shake this wonderful feeling that I get every time I walk into my internship classroom. My students greet me with huge smiles and exaggerated waves from all over the room. They immediately make me smile. It also thrills me that I can already see some slight improvements in some of the class's work when we have one-on-one time together. I get the greatest amount of joy and pride in my heart to see a student of mine that has been struggling with their classwork finally answer the problem without a little extra push. But what melts my heart the most is when my students get excited to share what is going on in their lives with me. Today a girl in my class shared the fact that her family owns a flying monkey, she then told me a fun fact that flying monkeys are nocturnal and they don't like the light. This is yet another reason that I have such a great feeling on the mornings of my internship, I love learning alongside my students, and sharing that they are teaching me thing

Reminders of my goals

While at work this Saturday I was reminded of why I want to be in this profession. I had a table sitting in my section (I'm a server) that was super sweet and kind. It started off by me walking up and saying hi to the father and his daughter. I immediately realized that the girl had cerebral palsy, so I struck up a conversation and started asking all of my normal questions. The girl smiled at me with the biggest sweetest smile and ordered the drink and appetizer she wanted. Her dad laughed and said whatever she wanted. I got their things to them and sat down with them to get their order. The dad started asking me questions about my major and what my plans were after I graduate college. I explained to him that after I graduate I want to go back and get my special education certification and teach younger students in an inclusion classroom.
