Little Conversations

My aunts are constantly getting frustrated with their son. They yell, they punish, and they gripe at him for every little move that he makes, or anything that he does wrong. When he is only doing these things because he is a 9 year old boy. This last week we spent thanksgiving as a family and all I heard was the never ending frustrated words being thrown his way not only from his mothers, but my siblings and parents too because they are not used to young children. at one point during the trip I had the pleasure to get him started in a conversation that was all about him. I pushed him to expand his vocabulary and create more complex and descriptive sentences to build onto the conversation that we were having. He was so excited about the subject we had picked that he dove into his story only stopping when I had questions or comments to help build my knowledge on the subject. He had the most intelligent answers a 9 year old could offer and I was surprised at his input in the conversation.

Stressed and in need of help:)

Recently I have been so caught up in my schoolwork that I have lost track of time. I usually am prepared and on-task when it comes to the holidays and have everything that I need way ahead of time, but this year we are almost halfway through November and I am just now realizing that Christmas is only five weeks away. I now am stressed to the max about finding gifts for my oversized family and my closest friends. I have no idea what I even want to get them and am pretty sure that I am going to end up with a bunch of handmade gifts that aren't that well thought through. Plus on top of that I am piled up with homework and schoolwork. I haven't even thought about what I want  for Christmas let alone what to get other people. I am in desperate need of ideas for easy DIY present and will be extremely thankful for ideas and suggestions! Thanks you all rock!

Three Generations She stands in the middle strong and filled to the brim with knowledge, She keeps their feet grounded, never even breaking a sweat. She stands the tallest and holds herself the highest, She is who they look to for courage. She smiles a bit smaller; but she is the happiest of them all The eldest of three generations. She stands on the left her arm around the reason she is here, She has wisdom but is still learning, so she is able to pass it on. She steps forward every day, never looking back, She knows the ropes but is not afraid to ask for help. She has lines from the never ending laughing, and a smile that make her eyes squint almost closed, The middle of three generations. She stands on the right, immersed in the love they send to her She has little experience, and much less knowledge, but strives to make them proud. She is smallest of the three; though she is ready to fight every battle she faces, She will howev
